Utopian Identity was born from a bold vision: to transform sensory perception into a map of self-knowledge. We don't simply create fragrances, but we vehicle "olfactory colors" capable of dialogue with the deepest dimension of our IO-IN.

Behind Utopian Identity is the journey of “Donatien” Giuseppe Quartieri, author, artist and researcher of the synesthesia between color and smell.
01. Beyond Perfumery: The Chromos Olfactory Manifesto
Utopian Identity was born to turn the relationship between vision and smell on its head.
In traditional color disciplines-from chromotherapy to art therapy-perception is constrained by direct visual stimulation: to activate an emotional response, the eye must see color. Utopian Identity rejects this visual passivity.
Through the principle of the White Conceptual, the work deprives the gaze of pigment. The monochrome 3D relief canvas does not show the color, but names it. It is the fragrance - guardian of memory and instinct - that colors the mind of those who experience it, evoking strictly personal images, memories and sensations. The observer stops being a passive spectator and becomes the unique creator of his own mental color.
Utopian Identity doesn't decorate a space: it queries it.

02. The Research: Between Grasse and Bordeaux
Behind the aesthetic rigor of Utopian Identity lies a theoretical and academic path developed in the symbolic places of European olfactory and chromatic culture.

The cultural and scientific value of this work has received important institutional recognition: the volume has been officially accepted into the MIP (Musée International de la Parfumerie de Grasse) - the world temple of the history of smell - was presented and honored in the presence of the Deputy and Mayor of Grasse, Jérôme Viaud, sealing an indissoluble bond between the author and the city of perfumes.
Reflection on the symbolic and structural value of color has consolidated within the Académie de la Couleur in Bordeaux, an international academic institution of which Giuseppe Quartieri is an active member and scientific speaker. Utopian Identity is the material and olfactory translation of this philosophical corpus.
