The image of the “Minotaur” arouses in us memories of legends, in this case Greek legends of lived, particularly intense and emotionally “disturbing” moments.

Sofia Silvestri, an eclectic artist, in her performance, evokes this myth and manages to revive it in a contemporary “modus.”

The symbolism of the “Minotaur” of the labyrinth, especially that of Chartres, leads us back to the symbol of the subconscious. The “Minotaur” represents all kinds of “repressed” prohibitions that are prevented from expression.

His nature made him dangerous to the “people” and that is why he was imprisoned in the labyrinth. The conflict between instinct/beast and rationality made him “unmanageable.”
