In the vast and often incomprehensible museum of our existence, each individual is simultaneously artist and worker, curator and critic. We create, we modify, we expose and, inevitably, we discard. But what happens to what we reject about ourselves? Those fragments of personality, unexpressed desires, dormant talents, or simply aspects we deem "unworthy" of being exposed to light, end up accumulating in internal landfills, similar to the material waste that modern society produces in abundance. This article aims, through art photographs and future performances by artist Sofia Silvestri, to explore this analogy through expression, elevating self-rejection to an involuntary art form, a critical text that reveals much more than it conceals.

From the perspective of art criticism, "Sofia Silvestri's Refusal" can be seen as an "already done" of the unconscious, which, once decontextualized and observed with a fresh perspective, reveals profound meanings. An undeveloped talent can be like an unfinished sculpture, whose potential beauty is still visible beneath the layer of dust and forgetfulness.
